Our team completed a full basement build-out, including framing new walls and finishing them to a clean, polished standard. We also installed electrical outlets and lighting fixtures throughout the space, creating a bright and inviting environment. To prepare the basement for future bathroom additions, we installed sanitary, hot water, and cold-water lines, giving the homeowners the flexibility to expand the space down the road. Our team implemented extensive dust control measures to protect the homeowner’s existing surfaces and devices throughout the project. We then performed patching and refinishing throughout the entire townhouse. Following visual approval from the homeowner, we provided various colors and finishes as part of a complete whole-house painting project.

Basement Structural and Interior Renovation - Catonsville, MD
MJ Build performed structural revitalization through joist reinforcement and house jacking. We installed new steel lintels and CMU infills, then transformed an unfinished residential basement into a fully functional laundry, gym, and common space designed to accommodate family living.The scope of work included framing new walls, installing insulation, hanging and finishing drywall, and painting throughout the space. We also fully retrofitted the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and lighting systems to bring the space up to local building codes. All work was performed with tenants in place and during off-hours, in accordance with the client’s scheduling constraints, to minimize disruption to the occupants while maintaining the project schedule and quality of work.
