Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel - Washington, D.C. 

 We delivered precise and efficient structural and architectural contracting services. We began by placing temporary plywood and plastic protection measures for the selective demolition services. MJ Build removed selective existing CMU partitions, ceilings, casework, and historic statues to prepare the space for its next phase. We expertly modified CMU wall openings for doors, frames, hardware, and windows, along with their surrounding lintel, supports, ensuring clean and controlled workflow with minimal disruption. After demolition work was completed, we infilled and altered CMU wall openings with new structural lintels with new doors, frames, and hardware as well as modifying existing fire specialty accessories. Lastly, we provided a full paint and caulking package to bring the space into facility compliance exceeding client’s expectations.

UMBC Emergency Repairs - Catonsville, MD

MJ Build provided emergency repairs, with a short turnover time, to student dorm rooms at UMBC following structural damage. Our team quickly addressed the unfinished areas to ensure students had a safe, comfortable, and livable housing environment before moving day. Within a week of being called, MJ fully staffed this project with a Project Manager, Superintendent and operational foreman with over 15 on site laborers and contractors. The primary scope consisted of CMU Replacements, and Exterior Waterproofing above grade level from emergency water intrusion as well as joist repair and reinforcement, insulation install, hanging and finishing drywall, and painting the living and common space of all dorms. This project highlights our ability to respond quickly to urgent needs while delivering dependable craftsmanship following our Quality Control standards when it matters most.
